Natalie Ogbourne

Are you looking for an engaging speaker to encourage and equip your group?

Invite Natalie to speak at your next event.

Natalie Ogbourne, a once-reluctant hiker, has discovered that walking in the wilderness helps her understand more about walking by faith in everyday life. A midwesterner with a longstanding fear of cows, she has survived a snowmobile-windshield-to-nostril standoff with a half-ton bison, a trip into the backcountry with a recreationally-unstable fly-fishing guide, and a trek across the edge of a cliff with a bear at her heels. She is known for painting pictures with words and bringing the Word to life in a warm, relatable, yet entertaining way. Her goal in sharing experiences such as these is to encourage and equip others to navigate the details and difficulties of daily life by faith rather than by feel, autopilot, or fear.

Natalie’s blend of tales from the trail and teaching from scripture lends itself to a wide variety of audiences and settings, including retreats, workshops, and conferences, outdoor sporting events, and seasonal events for women, couples, and teens. Her topics include:

  • Why We Don’t Feed the Animals: Remembering Our Identity (1 – 3 Sessions)
  • Are You Prepared? Walking as the Wise in Bear Country (1-4 Sessions)
  • Traveling Tough Terrain: Navigating Hard Days and Trials by Faith (1 – 3 Sessions)
  • Eight Words You Don’t Want to Hear from Your Backcountry Guide + Six You Do (1-3 Sessions)
  • Eagles, Wings, and Walking by Faith (1 -3 Sessions)
  • Navigating Christmas by Faith (1 Session)

Others Are Saying

“‘So glad I came tonight; just what I needed to hear’ was expressed by many of our ladies. As Natalie shared her knowledge and observations of eagles, she beautifully wove a comparison of their wilderness lives with our spiritual ones.”
~ Lisa LukensEvent Coordinator, Influence: a Titus 2 Ministry for Women, Pella, Iowa

“As an avid outdoorsman, I spend countless hours in the field pursuing deer and elk. As a writer and speaker, Natalie is able to bring back the sound and smells of past hunts as she describes her encounters with God’s creation. She understands the rhythms of the outdoors through the changing seasons. I highly recommend her perspective of God’s perfect design.” ~ Earl Taylor, Former Director Hidden Acres Christian Center

“Natalie Ogbourne is a brilliant speaker who can paint a picture with words and put you right in the setting she is describing. She knows God’s Word and can teach it on a level that can be understood easily and she helps you see it in a way that you can apply to your own Christian walk.”
~ Mardi Peasley, Retreat Coordinator, Madrid Evangelical Free Church, Madrid, Iowa

“Natalie Ogbourne is a captivating speaker that is real with her audience. As the keynote for our women’s retreat, Natalie delivered a message that was real about life’s joy. Natalie reminded us of the tools we have to accentuate life’s journey of joy; through faith, through scripture, and the realization that we share the experience of both jubilance and tribulation. Natalie is personable, realistic, and the positive force you want to facilitate reflections, so as to “Pause, ponder, and press on.” ~ Danielle Johnson, Christian Life Committee, First Christian Church, Maryville, Missouri
